Research Statement

Our lab is dedicated to developing novel methods for drug discovery. We work in organic synthesis and chemical biology. Our key focus areas include:

  • Design and synthesis of novel covalent inhibitors for protein targets in cancer and neurodegenerative diseases.
  • Design and synthesis of new electrophilic warheads to enhance the potency and selectivity of covalent inhibitors.
  • Development of novel small molecule degraders, including molecular glues and PROTACs.
  • Novel chemistry techniques for chemical biology applications, such as proteomics, activity-based protein profiling (ABPP), turn-on fluorescent probes, prodrugs, cellular labelling with small molecule probes, live cell imaging, protein degradation kinetics, high-throughput screening assay development, and covalent docking.
