Research Statement

1. 1,2-Boron-ate rearrangement in organic synthesis

There has been a tremendous interest in C-C bond formation using the concept of 1,2-migration of boron-ate complex. Our group is interested to develope novel synthetic methdology using 1,2-migration of boron-ate complex.

2. Total synthesis of bioactive compounds
Download

The total synthesis of complex natural products remains among the most exciting and dynamic areas of chemical research. The challenge of a total synthesis provides a unique opportunity to test the limits of synthetic methodology and to invent new reactions. Our group is interested in the total synthesis of spiroketal based natural products for their benign toxicity to the human cancer cell lines.
